* If you are contacted and asked for, eg, photographs by someone who does not appear to know which pony he wishes to purchase, calls it a horse, or sometimes doesn't seem to know that it is an animal(!);
* if someone enquires about "the item" or your "best price" or "shipping details";
* if they are abusive when you ask for reassurances that they are genuine buyers;
WE ADVISE YOU TO DELETE THE MESSAGES AND NOT PURSUE THE SALE
Similarly, if you receive enquiries from overseas pleading poverty and asking to pay upon receipt subject to various criteria being satisfactory on arrival such as confirmation of the pony's ID, health or temperament: these aspects should normally be confirmed by veterinary inspection prior to sale and travelling, and again we would not recommend you to agree to such a deal.

FIS status - When you are purchasing a Fell Pony or enquiring about a stallion for stud purposes, and if it is important to you to know what the FIS status is of the animal, ask the owner. If the pony has been FIS tested, the laboratory who carried out the test will have issued a certificate, so ask to see it.
FIS test results are sometimes recorded in the passport at the request of the owner. This is the only case in which the FPS will have seen the certificate.
If you have any doubts about the authenticity of a certificate then please share a copy with the FPS office who will check it out for you.
Please note that there are very few licensed stallions that are not FIS tested.

Eric is a hill bred foal, he’s never been off the fell in his life. He’s had minimal handling but is used to people and is reasonably friendly.
His full brothers Malcolm and Poldark have been shown lightly but were always in the tickets. He is pictured with his Dam and Sister on the fell. Eric’s sire and both Grandsires have all been stallion show champions more than once.

While three and four year old ponies may have been broken, they are not fully mature and should not be worked hard.
BAY MARE, f 2021, 13.1HH
ADOPTION FEE £1200

We are a small horse rescue based in Mid Wales in the borders near Shropshire and are looking for a home for Parcpenrhyn Hydref (Autumn). She has only recently turned 4 but has been bitted, played with in the round pen and led out happily from another horse. We have previously had her full sister and mother in rescue and they were cracking ponies. Her mum and sister were both 13.1hh so we believe her to be at full height. She is looking for a home for life but please note the price is an adoption fee and not a sale. Please get in touch for more details and to arrange a viewing. We never rehome ponies unseen and she will continue her education so if she is backed we would expect you to come and ride her on at least 2 occasions, so please consider the distance before getting in touch. No health issues, good to catch and handle. Please note she is not looking for a home as a broodmare.

Bay, Mare, 2021, 13.2
Bay fell pony, 4 yrs old.

Flic was placed in the Fell Pony Performance Awards as a 2 &
3 year old with her previous owner. She sat Overall Reserve Champ in the
one and only show I’ve taken her to in Feb 25. In the middle of long
reining around the farm, I broke my ankle in May so she was
professionally backed and ridden away. I continued her hacking until I
broke my foot 4 weeks ago where again I’ve been forced to stop her
education.
I’ve lost heart a bit due to my injuries and would love Flic to go to a
home where she can be brought on and have someone to love and spend time
with her. She has fantastic conformation and is bold out hacking, she is
not spooky in any way, preferring to go check out anything she is unsure
of! Good with cattle/sheep/farm machinery etc. Good to catch, load, with
the dentist/farrier etc and is up to date with everything.
No novice riders due to her age and stage.
Based in southwest Scotland.

Brown Mare, 2019, 13.2 hh
£6000

Krystal has been with us since a foal, she is so easy to look after,
good to load and travel, & with farrier, lives in or out, alone or
with company. She’s a real show girl, loves being in the ring. Successes
too many to mention this year but include Overall Supreme M&M
and top 6 in the Price Family at Royal Norfolk, M&M Champion NPS
Spring Festival, and top 6 in the Price at Three Counties.
She was professionally broken in the summer and has taken to being
ridden with a lovely attitude.
She is sure to have an exciting ridden career ahead of her or would make
an ideal Mother / Daughter share to have fun with.

Grey Mare, D.O.B 16/04/2017, 13.2HH
£3000

Blank canvas 8yr old mare for someone to put their own stamp on. FIS clear. Bought to show, back and bring on but lack of consistency on my part (due to not being in the country for a lot of the last 18 months) means she has become an ornament. Lovely temperament, very friendly. Up to date with feet and vaccinations. Seen sheep, cows and tractors. Very reluctant sale.

Bay mare, 2018

Fun, honest pony who loves cross country and jumping. Good with traffic,
hacks alone or in company. A real confidence giver and yard favourite
who would make a nice working hunter pony or pony club pony.

Grey 6 Years Old Mare
£4,500 to include full wardrobe

I have owned Jolene since 20 months old, bringing her down from Drybarrows to Bampton. I have a great relationship with her; she is easy to do in all ways, catch, load, clip, shoe, tack, hack; both alone and in company. She is slightly spicy in an arena environment; nothing nasty. She's still young and is finding her feet in canter; whilst she does have all three paces in the school, she can put in a buck in canter and is unbalanced, so not a novice ride. I am selling her because I have only one daughter, who is now 9, and we require a mother/daughter share who is further on in their schooling. I believe Jolene can excel in all disciplines, given the time and consistency she requires. I have put a lot of time and effort into this mare and will only see her go to a great (preferably Fell) home.
Please only honest enquiries. Tons more pics and vids if seriously interested. Contact Aimee on 07817 023813 or aimeelouloo@gmail.com (Cumbria)

Black Fell Mare, 7 years, 13.1 hands approx.
£5,000 OVNO

Superb showing prospect both in hand and under saddle. Proven brood mare with 3 year old offspring now standing at stud. Fabulous blood lines.
Belle is a very beautiful mare with a fabulous temperament. I bought her in lock down as I decided I wanted to do a bit more breeding and she was put in foal to Bluecaps Gilbert who is Wildhoeve Oki Doki's son. Bluecaps Marshall is the result. This was Belle's first foaling and she was a very good mother. No problems during her pregnancy. Although she is 7 years old, she has not been backed so is a total blank canvas. I prefer to let my youngsters mature and start work later in life. She is sane and sensible and I believe would be very easy to bring on. I am no longer breeding so she is totally wasted here. She is very affectionate and full of personality and would make somebody a fantastic best friend. She was placed as a yearling at both Kent County and D/F/H NPS Area 20 Summer show. There are videos of her on my Bluecaps Fell Ponies Facebook page. Would make a great winter project ready for Shows next year.
