Fell Pony Society
Young Persons Group
In 2014 the Society formed a Young Persons' Group committee with the following aims in mind:
1) To organise educational and training days on the Fell
pony conformation, breed type and to promote and gain a greater
understanding of semi-feral herds.
2) To represent the views of the younger members to the
FPS council.
3) To encourage younger members to learn more about the
Fell Pony Society and the work the council, the committees
and secretary undertake throughout the year.
4) To prepare younger Fell Pony Society members to be
able to stand for election to the council in the future.
5) To listen to suggestions and organise events suitable
for younger members.

We are delighted to be invited by the Lownthwaite Stud to see their ponies at home - stallions, mares and foals. Lunch at the Shepherd’s Inn at Melmerby, then visit the mares living out at the Fell in their natural environment. Booking form
