Formation of Guidelines for Fell Pony Society Overseas Branches

The Overseas Sub-committee (formerly known as the International Sub-committee) has been working on a set of guidelines to enable support groups to be set up and formally recognised in the different countries around the world who have an interest in the Fell Pony.

This process has now been completed and at their meeting in November 2003 the full Fell Pony Society Council ratified the guidelines for the formation of "Overseas Branches.

Guidelines for the formation of Daughter Societies have not yet been finalised but it is hoped that this will be completed during 2004.

The necessary paperwork is currently being organised and should be ready for groups to apply to become Overseas Branches shortly, if they wish too. You should obtain copies of these from the secretary at the main Fell Pony Society office.
